I read the other reviews after I already purchased the boot, and they all said to get 1/2 to 1 full size bigger than regular shoe size. Luckily I found a size 10 from another site and ordered those too. The 10s fit much better so I had to send these ones back. Once the size issue was figured out, the boot worked great for him. Easy lacing and good insulation. He may have been better with a 10.5 even because since he is a beginner he was doing all heel edge for a full day and his toes got beat up. Once he figured out how to carve and switch between heel and toe edge the boots didnt seem to give him any more trouble.
